Even with all the energy Hazen pours into its client work, there’s still creative juice to spare. So we have several extra-curricular creative outlets. Here are all the ones that have an online component. In some cases it’s only the online component. Peruse the sites below, and please let us know what you think.

Hazen Projects is brought to you by Hazen Creative, Inc., a graphic design studio in Chicago, Illinois.

Featured Project:

Chicagotype

Begun in 2006, when Shawn Hazen rolled into Chicago, this site documents the rich, ecclectic history of commercial and vernacular typography in Chicago.

Now, 4 years later, the site got a facelift. The hundreds of images from the past collection—and many new ones—still grace the simple gallery. And because it’s impossible not to, Shawn is shooting and adding new images all the time.
